About Jessica Humphries (Professinal Writer)
Teacher | Writing
Jessica describes herself as a yoga teacher, writer, cattle dog mum and Aunty.
Professionally, she is a writer, editor and yoga teacher. She grew up in a small country town feeling like the black sheep. Always writing letters and filling journals with musings, she found solace in expression through words.
She went on to study philosophy at university then moved to the city and tried out corporate life for a few years before throwing it all in to move to the northern rivers of NSW and teach yoga. She has spent the bulk of the last ten years travelling, teaching yoga, running yoga retreats, managing yoga businesses, helping to raise her beautiful nephews, writing for some of Australia’s top wellbeing and yoga titles and, before COVID came along and put a spanner in the works, editing Australian Yoga Journal magazine. She now teaches yoga, freelance writes and is (very slowly) working on a non-fiction book.
Jessica loves how words can allow us to connect, and she’s passionate about helping others to find their unique writing voice through practical tips and self-exploration.
