The Anatomy of Yoga
Anatomy & Physiology For Yoga Develop a fundamental understanding of Western Anatomical science, and be empowered to facilitate safe classes for a variety of injuries and conditions. Explore some of the foundational concepts of Eastern Anatomy & Physiology.
Yoga Physiology Delve into the mind-body-spirit complex. Discover the Gunas, Nadis, Sheathes, Charkas, and Pancha Vayus. Explore how an understanding of Yoga Physiology can support us on the path of healthy living & self-discovery.
The Therapeutics of Yoga
We’ll cover over 50+ foundational techniques, including postures, breathing, mantra, kirtan, and relaxation. We’ll also help you develop your authentic voice as a teacher.Â
Teaching MethodologyÂ
Learn the art of teaching - how to demonstrate, communicate, and hold space as a yoga teacher. Learn pacing and timing, and how to adapt your delivery to suit different needs. Design and facilitate effective classes for a variety of different students and settings (such as one-on-one’s, group classes, workshops, and retreats).
The Integration of Yoga
Philosophy, Ethics & Lifestyle Yoga is so much more than what happens on the mat. In this module we look at the yoga-system as per the Bhagavad-Gita, investigate the true meaning of yoga, and explore the yoga lifestyle. We'll look at some of the traditional principles of yoga such as sanatan dharma; service and karma yoga; bhakti yoga, and ethics and etiquette.Â
